The Assessment Office does not prepare deeds.  You need to retain an attorney to have a deed prepared or modified.  We cannot change, add or delete an owner's name from our records unless there is a recorded deed evidencing that change.

As a service to the taxpayers, the Town has made a diligent attempt to maintain and preserve deeds, some of which date back to the 1600’s.

Copies of deeds may be available and can be provided to the owner of the property ONLY for a fee of $.25 per page.  Please note that we may or may not have some of the older historic deeds.

For all others, copies of deeds may be obtained through:

Westchester County Clerk's Office
Land Records Division
110 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
White Plains, NY 10601

(914) 995-3080

The County Clerk's website indicates:

To search for a land document, visit Westchester Records Online to determine whether the document you are searching for is recorded in the Office of the Westchester County Clerk.  If the document is recorded in our office and you wish to obtain a copy of it, you can pay a daily user fee to view it online, visit our office, or request a copy of the document  by mail.

2018 Off Season Event Calendar

A variety of public events are held at or adjacent to the park that are sponsored by outside organizations. Some are held on an annual basis. For details about this year’s events, contact the organizations directly.

Playland Fireworks Schedule - Fireworks are held on Fridays from the 4th of July through Labor Day. Fireworks are usually held on holidays as well, regardless of the day of the week. The fireworks start about 9:15 p.m. and last for about fifteen minutes. The fireworks are very visible from the beach side of Rye Town Park.

Triathlon – Each September a triathlon event is held that involves Rye Town Park. Saturday events include children's triathlon events and an "Expo." The formal triathlon begins on Sunday with a swim, followed by a bike ride and then a run, which ends on the great lawn area of Rye Town Park. Here's the link to the web site. For safety, dogs are not allowed in the park those days.

Beach Volleyball – The Sound-Shore Youth Foundation has arranged with RTP to offer beach volleyball activities at 6 p.m. on Mondays. Click here to view a video!

Yoga, Tai Chi, and Fitness Activities – Rye Town Park considers requests for outside groups to hold various types of fitness activities in the park, as long as they are compatible with the rest of the park’s operations and do not disturb other park users.

Boot Camp by the Beach - This popular morning program has been going strong since 2009.  Click here for more information.

The City of Rye Recreation Department's Turkey Run will be coming through the park from north to south along the beach path on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, from about 10 to 11 a.m.

Annual "walk-athons" at Rye Town Park include the the Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Walk, the National Alliance on Mental Illness walk and the Angelman Syndrome Foundation Walk. Visit their web sites for details.

Over the years commercials, television productions and films have been made at Rye Town Park.

Curbside Recycling Rules

Villages in the Town of Rye have “dual-stream recycling.” This means paper waste (paper, magazines, newspapers, boxes, etc.) must be placed separate from commingled waste (hard plastic containers, metal cans and foil, glass, and cartons).

How Do I Recycle?

Disposing of some items is tricky. Batteries, printer cartridges, plastic bags, CFL light bulbs, etc., can all be recycled or disposed of safely when you know ho!

Refer to these resources for answers to all your recycling questions:
