Energize New York PACE

We have partnered with EIC NY PACE, a not-for-profit local development corporation, to provide Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing.

EIC NY PACE is a low-cost, long-term alternative to traditional loans to fund clean energy projects in commercially-owned buildings, including buildings owned by not-for-profits.

Property owners in the Town of Rye can use EIC NY PACE to finance upgrades that will reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint and improve the comfort of their buildings.  *Visit www.energizeny.org to learn more, see case studies, and apply for financing.

PACE financing is not a bank loan and differs from traditional financing options:

• Upgrades generate savings that typically more than pay for their cost
• Finance up to 100% of the project cost with fixed, competitive interest rates
• Terms up to 20 years enable affordable and profitable deep energy upgrades
• Energize NY PACE can finance up to 35%of the property value
• Repaid through an annual charge on the property’s tax bill
• Automatically transfers upon property sale

Open C-PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) is operated by Energy Improvement Corporation (EIC) and provides long-term financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects on commercially owned properties.

Open C-PACE is not a bank loan and differs from traditional financing options:

• Financing is available for up to 100% of the project cost, or can be combined with other financing
• Competitive private financing from EIC- approved capital providers
• Customizable loan terms up to the expected life of the improvement (generally 20-30 years)
• Repayment is secured through a benefit assessment lien that runs with the property
• Projects must comply with NYSERDA's Commercial PACE guidelines

PACE financing is a public benefit, authorized through state and local law, which supports more sustainable and economically vibrant communities.
