Food Bank for Westchester Launches Freedom from Hunger Campaign
07/29/2009The Food Bank for Westchester has launched its Freedom from Hunger campaign to help feed hungry individuals and families in Westchester County this summer. Here’s how you can help: fill up the “Freedom from Hunger Bag” (or a bag of your own) at any of the county’s food pantries or soup kitchens. The Food Bank for Westchester will also be accepting donations at their Millwood site. Visit www.foodbankforwestchester.org/services/food_patch_directory.html for a list of hunger relief agencies by municipality.Items should be non-perishable, sealed and not expired. You can donate as many items and as often as you’d like. If you can’t make it to any of the drop-off locations, there’s another great way you can help. For every $1 donated to the Food Bank, it can distribute $4 worth of food. Please send checks to: The Food Bank for Westchester, 358 Saw Mill River Road, Millwood, NY 10546.
Times: Days and Time varies with drop-off site
