Port Chester
The Port Chester School District is home to four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The educational programs and services offered to our students reflect a quest for scholastic excellence, combined with respect and concern for the worth and development of individual students. Our mission — “Success for Every Student” — has been internalized by every teacher, administrator and staff member within our schools.
Our faculty is "highly qualified", with masters degrees or higher, and dedicated to reaching diverse learners. We have an instructional technology program focused on improving student achievement, with schools having one computer for every three-four students, internet access in all classrooms and libraries and interactive web-connected whiteboards in every classroom.
Our students share diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Some have lived in the district for generations, while many others have only recently immigrated to the United States. About a quarter of our students are current or former English Language Learners, and our cultural diversity enriches the school community and educational environment.
Rye Neck
The Rye Neck School District consists of the Rye Neck section of the Village of Mamaroneck and a small fragment of the City of Rye. While Rye Neck is not an official municipality, it is a small but strongly unified community. Rye Neck High School is considered a “National School of Excellence,” and has been given recognition for the outstanding achievements of its students, faculty, and administration. Rye Neck’s own elementary school, FE Bellows, is a “Blue Ribbon” school, according to the US Department of Education.
