Joseph Carvin - Supervisor

Joe Carvin was elected Rye Town Supervisor in 2007. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Tulane University and went on to gain an MBA from NYU and an MPA from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

Joe was born and raised in Port Chester, New York where his family has lived since 1955. After graduating from college, he spent several years overseas, living in Australia, France, South America, Africa and Great Britain but returned to Rye Town in 2002. He is currently a hedge fund manager with Altima Partners located in New York City. Joe is also the founder of Building Community Bridges, a locally based organization whose aim is to bring the various cultures and ethnicities of Port Chester together; as well as the charitable organization One World United and Virtuous, both founded in 2006.

Joe lives with his wife, Rozlyn, a non-practising barrister qualified to practice law in England and Wales. He is also a father of three. His son, Michael, lives and works in New York City and his two daughters, Keira and Rhianna, attend local public schools.

Michele Mendicino-Daly - Councilwoman

Michele Mendicino was elected to the Rye Town Board in 1995.  Prior to becoming a Councilwoman she served 8 years as a Trustee for the Village of Rye Brook. She also served on the Village of Rye Brook's Recreation Commission and Ethics Board and was a former president of the Sound Shore Community Fund.
 
Michele attended Quinnipiac College and graduated with her degree in Respiratory Therapy.  She also has a Bachelor's in Management.  Michele is employed at American Outcomes Home Infusion Company as an Account Executive.  She was born and raised in the Town of Rye and currently lives in Rye Brook with her daughter Alie.

 


 

Christina Collins - Councilwoman

Christina Collins was elected to Rye Town Council in November of 2011 to hold a four year term as Councilwoman. Together with her husband Brett, she co-owns and operates Counterspace Technologies, Inc., A graphic design business specializing in multi-media design.  As the operations manager of Counterspace, Christina's responsibilities are wide and varied, but primarily focused on project management, client communications and finance management.

 

Christina holds a Bachelors degree from Iona College in Public Relations which will be highly utilized in the field of public service. A passion for local life, Christina's interests include enjoying the culinary scene in our community, vegetable gardening with neighbors and enjoying Rye Town Park throughout the summer season. After renting in the city of Rye for several years, Christina & Brett purchased their first home in Port Chester in 2006 where they continue to happily reside. 

 

 

Robert Nioras - Councilman

Bob, a Port Chester High School graduate, attended Cornell University and SUNY/Buffalo graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He holds an MBA – Corporate Finance degree from Pace University.  Bob is a Management Consultant specializing in Business Performance Improvement and Risk Management. He has helped numerous organizations improve their productivity and quality of service by designing and implementing new systems and reengineering processes globally.  

Bob is married to Lydia who runs her own Real Estate business.  They have three children who attend the local public schools. He has been active in local community affairs such as fund raising for Autism Speaks, participating on the Rye Brook Financial Advisory Board, serving as an advisor for Junior Achievement, and serving as a High School science competition judge. He also holds a U.S. Patent in the Food Industry. Bob was elected to the Rye Town Council in 2007 for a 4 year term.
